NEET Biology syllabus 2022 contains subjects like Biology class 11 and class 12 syllabus. The syllabus for NEET Biology is recommended by the National Medical Commission (NMC). All the aspiring candidates must prepare the syllabus to excel in the examination and give their best.

NEET Biology Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for NEET Biology was revised last year. In the revised pattern, the question paper is divided into two subjects: Botany and Zoology, and each subject is divided into two sections: section A and section B. Section A consists of 35 questions and section B contains 15 questions.

The exam is conducted in offline mode. The aspirant candidates have to attempt a total of 90 questions of their own choice. All the questions have to be completed in three hours; the total marks of 360 do not change.

NEET Biology Marking Scheme

To prepare for the syllabus of the NEET Biology exam, one must be familiar with the marking scheme of the questions. There is negative marking for incorrect questions.

As per the recent NEET Biology 2022 exam pattern, 4 marks are given for the correct answers, and 1 mark is deducted for the incorrect answers.

Candidates have to fill the OMR sheet very carefully because one unintentional mistake can lead to negative marking. Remember, filling more than one option in the OMR sheet can also lead to negative marking.

If any of the questions are not attempted, then no marks are deducted. The table below highlights the important aspects of the marking scheme:
