We all know that ChatGPT holds a special place in everyone’s browser. But do you have any clue on “how this all happened all sudden”?
And the buzz around Chat GPT, does it worth its place?
That’s what we will see in this blog.
Who am I to tell this? Well, I have been a raving fan of ChatGPT and I think that I have the stuff to discuss.
Let’s get to the point.
ChatGPT and its purpose?
ChatGPT is an AI bot that has launched on November 2022 by Open AI. It is a bot that can answer any of your different topics on a different domain.
It even helps content writers like me to write content and developers to help with the code.
Moreover, it writes poems, essays, stories, marketing copy, and anything that could possible.
If you actively use Linkedin, then you would know how most professionals milk content out of ChatGPT.
It’s definitely a game-changer, and that’s agreeable. But some of the content creators really overuse it.
And make it a cliche.
What is the reason behind its popularity?
How it’s went out popular?
ChatGPT has trained from the large corpus of text data from the internet, which allows it to learn the pattern and structure of human data.
After it gets trained from large data, ChatGPT was finetuned with specific tasks such as question answering, and generating text content.
It becomes trained as it gets more used to the tasks.
But they didn’t reveal any specific data that they use to train.
This is how ChatGPT progresses day by day.
OpenAI continues to develop and research a new technique to improve the performance of its language model.
This continuous research helps increases the efficiency of ChatGPT.
Open AI: The secret behind the success!
Open AI was started in 2013 as a non-profit organization. Now, they become quite competitive with the biggest search engine Google.
Their goal was to build an open-source product and makes it free for the users. Now, they have found a way to monetize them.
Yes! We will see this in the upcoming section.
Apart from that, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, Khosla Ventures, and Microsoft have also invested a huge sum in Open AI’s ChatGPT.
Now, Microsoft Bing has integrated ChatGPT with their search engine.
If you’re not aware, then check out Bing’s browser.
Is it worth it?
As a content writer, I would say it shortens my work. Instead of searching for several websites for resources, this is the one that gives what I expect.
But that’s too for some extent only.
Meaning, you can’t completely rely on it.
For instance, it provides data and statistics that’s until 2021. For 2022, it says nope.
Beyond that, you can search for what is “Uber clone app” is, It will display its definition and growth of that term.
Then what’s the difference between ChatGPT and Google?
Google is a search engine that shows several web pages that are relevant to your keyword.
In addition, it shows maps, images, videos, and a shopping section along with the SERP (search engine ranking page).
But ChatGPT is quite contradicting to Google.
How?
If you ask any questions or maybe a keyword, this shows you text-based content that simplifies the user effort by displaying the desired output.
Then, it’s time to conclude which is best.
It’s completely based on what your expectations are.
ChatGPT is best in terms of giving straightforward content in a more human way. But don’t offend it by asking for recent statistics.
And Google in terms of showing many SERPs that gave us the privilege to choose whatever we want. More than text-based content, it displays video, maps, news, and shopping page.
Now, it’s time for you to choose which is best.
Why is Google in a big rush?
Google is a top search engine and when it comes to innovation and monopolization, it never left the market untouched.
For instance, two years ago, Google launched the MUM algorithm which is 1000 times more powerful than BERT.
Moreover, the MUM algorithm can grasp a multilingual understanding of information and provides critical data in more languages.
The pressure of adapting to new technologies put Google into chaos. Thus, to come out of that oppression, they are rushing to launch BARD.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai says, ‘Bard will be an outlet for creativity, a launchpad to answer your questions and help clarify new things.
Would BARD beat ChatGPT?
It is quite complicated. And wouldn’t be right if it comes out of my perspective.
But, the so-called internet intellectuals are predicting that ChatGPT will hold its top position. And people have the feeling that the BARD is a little too late to the market.
Who knows what the future holds?
To see the fact, BARD gives the output based on the recent trend of the internet, while ChatGPT shows data until 2021.
And now ChatGPT comes up with a subscription model for $20 a month. Yes, they have found a way to monetize it. Then, what’s the difference between paid and unpaid one?
You can access it during peak hours without any hassle. In addition, you will faster result, and get access to the latest version of ChatGPT.
While on another side, Bard gets backlashed after giving inaccurate information, therefore Alphabet Inc lost $100 billion in market value.
