VPN stands for Virtual Private Network which provides the technology to browse the internet anonymously. One Google search is enough to provide plenty of options to choose from. However, I couldn’t pick one reliable solution in just a day, and I had to try plenty of VPN providers over the years to confirm my choice. I will bring that hunt to an end and introduce one VPN provider that could be your personal choice.
What is RitaVPN?
RitaVPN was started by a Chinese company called “WEIKAWEN TECHNOLOGY LIMITED” in 2017. Modern VPN providers do have a strong security layer to keep the customer’s identity away from government, military surveillance, and dictator or foreign powers. Of course, I don’t need anonymity because I’m not in journalism or living in a regime that doesn’t believe in freedom of speech. Many websites have been blocked by the government for unknown reasons or political reasons, and I need a strong VPN that can bypass such sources, and that’s where RitaVPN comes in handy.
Unblock Websites
The company is targeting customers who want to unblock restricted websites in the country. Many governments started to blackout the internet connection in the country to solve internal problems. Currently, Indian states are facing this problem and the government doesn’t want the people to share current conditions in specific regions on the internet. VPN definitely will help in unblocking the internet and start using applications such as WhatsApp, FB, Twitter, and other social networking apps.
Protects Personal Data
VPN is not an anti-virus system, but it definitely keeps third-party invaders out of the internet protocol. Many websites have a DNS leak problem, where anyone with basic hacking knowledge can copy the communication between your browser, and website server. Fortunately, VPN provides stronger protection, when you are browsing the internet in cafes, hotels, airports, and other public Wi-Fi connections.
Stream Restricted Content
Many online streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Hotstar, and ESPN started geo-blocking customers. None of the streaming services provide cross-country content and genre. Media consumers cannot watch a movie that is released in another country and is not available in your country. Fortunately, RitaVPN changes the physical IP address of the customers and poses as a USA media consumer or selected locations. Overall, Netflix cannot deny the existence of the physical IP address of the server and provide restricted content.
Server Locations
I checked out the number of locations RitaVPN is offering to the customer in their client program. The VPN service provider provides 19 locations in total, and none of them are available for free consumers. However, you need to watch one advertisement to unlock the trial version, and that’s fair enough.
Countries: New York (USA), Hong Kong, Hong Kong (Netflix), USA, USA (Netflix), Germany, Germany (Netflix), India, Indonesia, Singapore, Singapore (Netflix), Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Canada, Brazil, and Indonesia (AWS).
RitaVPN providers added dedicated servers in the USA, Hong Kong, and Germany to stream Netflix content. I want to remind the readers that the Netflix protocol system is not easy to bypass for other VPN providers. Connect to the given locations and then log in to the account to stream a wide range of genres.
Interface
Currently, you can download the application on iOS, Android, Windows PC, and Mac OS X computers. No need to worry about cross-platform availability because you can use the same account on all devices at a time. I downloaded the Windows client and I must say that the developer-defined user-friendly terms. I’ve spent less than two minutes to figure out every single option available in the application. The minimalist design does simply the interface and I should give them credit for making the program easy to understand.
Pricing
RitaVPN is a premium service and they don’t provide free plans. There are three packages available for the customer starting from $6.99 per month, $5.66 per month on a month’s package, and $5.34 per month on a year’s package. Subscribing to the premium packages does come with benefits such as premium server locations that I have mentioned above. The company has a tech support team for paying customers and advertisement-free services.
Bottom Line
RitaVPN is designed for common media consumer, who wants to protect their identity from privacy invaders and hackers. I do suggest opting for the premium package to those, who want to unblock restricted websites. Let us know what you think about RitaVPN in the comment section below.
